The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) wants to ensure that there is an educator in front of a learners in every classroom, during the time of COVID-19 and beyond.
Teachers who want to work in Gauteng are advised to register on the GDE’s online portal for unemployed teachers.
Appointments will be as a substitute or temporary educator depending on the post to be filled. The length of the appointment will depend on the needs of the school you are appointed in. Educators will be invited by the school or the district for an interview should they meet the requirements of the vacant post.

Hey Sandile, I’ve been experiencing the same hassle but I came to realize that I had to reduce the documents’ sizes, yet again I had to upload them separately, i.e Qualifications apart from ID copy and SACE certificate. I hope this helps.
